Juan Morrow has a passion for educating athletes about their journey into professional sports. His expertise and experience in the industry positions UMG as a premier firm focused on the unique needs of athletes. With more than 20 years of experience and a distinguished career in sports marketing and player representation, Juan founded Upside Media Group in 2011. Over the years, he has successfully managed and negotiated contracts for some of the nation’s best athletes, maintains strong working relationships with the top 50 sports agencies in the country, and has designed new initiatives to build brand loyalty at the grassroots level and much more. Juan is a leader in the field of sports management.
PRESIDENT, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Jason has been in the financial industry for more than 20 years. His professional expertise and background in oversight and management of several successful businesses led him to UMG. Having built, acquired, and sold a number of companies across the country, Jason particular area of oversight is on UMG’s finance, operations, human resources, and infrastructure. Working with the UMG to create and ensure solid and sound infrastructure and best practices believes in assessing and consulting athletes on their risk's and helping them make better business decisions.
DIRECTOR CLIENT RELATIONS
Rhonda joined the UMG in 2011. Tasked with directing UMG’s client relations, marketing initiatives, and communications strategy her unique combination of business and relationship development acumen, high-energy, trend setting brand development, and marketing savvy Rhonda is responsible for engaging UMG’s audiences at every level. She has more than 15 years of professional experience generating more than $6 million annually in philanthropic and sponsorship dollars from individual philanthropists, foundations, and corporations. She also has experience in public relations and marketing campaigns for major cultural institutions and in higher education.
MANAGER, TECHNOLOGY & NEW MEDIA
Erick is the creative genius behind UMG’s technology and new media which includes web based technology and infrastructure, social media, collateral materials design and more. He has nearly 10 years of experience in programming and technology; infrastructure and design, video and communications. Erick joined the UMG Group in 2013 and is currently working on the new vision of UMG.
MANAGER, PLAYER ANALYTICS
Josh joins the UMG staff having recently graduated with a B.S. in Sport Management from the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics at Syracuse University. Managing the player analytics and data division of the company, Josh brings a “new age” approach to player evaluation that is steeped in statistical/quantitative analysis. Josh is recognized as an authority and innovator in his area of expertise paying close attention to organizational philosophies/strategies in basketball and baseball.
